The author invites us to rediscover the auditory system,
exploring its role in regulating our physical and mental
balance, together with its great diagnostic and therapeutic
potential. He offers us an extensive scientific bibliography
that reveals how remarkable the ear really is, and the key role
it plays in our development, in a book which will interest
music and health professionals in particular.
Carlos Alós, (Barcelona, 1961) has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Barcelona and a master’s degree in Neuropsychology and Education from the International University of La Rioja, and is a senior technician in prosthetic audiology (Jesuites El Clot). He is a member of the Spanish EMDR Association and works in private practice. In 1991, influenced by the musical training he received during his childhood, he studied audiopsychophonology with Alfred Tomatis and since then he has been investigating the relationship between audiology and psychology.
